| F.A.Q's Frequently Asked Questions I am a member of an AYR Chapter. Is that enough? Simply, NO! Everyone is encouraged to be a member of their local chapter, but EAF does require a membership in the National Organization of AYR, which utilizes chapters to facilitate geographic fellowship for all YMCA retirees. Members of AYR are former YMCA employees, spouses or surviving spouses of former employees. Former employees are encouraged to obtain and maintain annual membership in the National AYR organization. Membership requests are mailed annually, an application is available on the Membership page of this website, or anyone can contact us for further information. We recommend and strongly encourage retirees to maintain a chapter membership in addition to their AYR National Membership. I contribute to EAF. Am I eligible for a grant? We are grateful for all donated support and thank you. But the gift is for the benefit of all EAF grants, and does not establish eligibility for the donor. Membership is still required. But, please do continue your support of EAF.. How can I get help for me or a member I know? Your local chapter's President or EAF Chair can initiate the process of reviewing and authorizing the grant. Once they submit the application and needed documentation, this process can move quickly with full awareness of the immediacy and benefits of the grant request. |
