Since we have a new name, it is now time for a new logo.  And who better to create that logo than one of our creative, talented,
artistic, ingenious AYR chapter members.  That could be you or someone i your chapter.

We are sponsoring a
CREATE-A-LOGO CONTEST open to all AYR Members.  Entries will be judged by a panel of AYR officers.  The
creator of the winning design will receive a free registration for one person to the 20111 AYR Reunion in San Diego.

To avoid limiting artistic Creativity, we are keeping the rules to just two:
  1.  The Logo must have the letters AYR.
  2.  The design must be scalable; that is, it must look equally good big (for example,
on sportshirts or sweatshirts, or little  (such as a lapel pin).

Everything else--colors, graphics, shape, etc.--is up to the logo creator.  Logos submitted need not be in final, polished form
ready to print.  A clear concept will do;  we'll find a professional to finish the job.

Entries should be mailed by June 30th to:
Betsy Jacobs, AYR V. P. Membership         EMail:    BetsyJ2003@yahoo.com
          1035 Wald Road
          Orlando, Florida, 43806

As soon as the winning entry in the Logo contest is chosen, and appropriate groups have approved it, we will have an official
logo.
Until then, we have no official logo.  The logo which has appeared on AYReports is the result of the editor testing various
logos which have been under consideration.

  • AYReports
AYReports, the successor to "Old Guard News" is now the official newsletter of the organization.  AYReports will be published
6 times per year:  Jan-Feb, Mar-Apr, May-June, July-Aug, Sept-Oct, and Nov-Dec, 2010.  AYReports is edited and produced by
Craig Altschul+Associates.

  • Names of New Retirees
Rich Hill and I have had positive conversations with the YMCA Retirement Fund regarding sharing the names of recent retirees
with AYR Chapters.  This information will be available to all chapters beginning in May.  New retiree will be given the
opportunity to have their names excluded from the list if they so desire.    Names of deceased retirees, will also be included on
the list which you receive..

  • 2011 Reunion
Please start making your plans to be a part of the 2011 Reunion in San Diego.  It will be held on September 13-17, 2011.  It is
shaping up to be a Grand Event.  Pat Ritter and her committee are working to make this a memorable Reunion.  Don't miss it an
encourage your chapter members to attend!      Thank you.
